March 2, 1743

It is published and printed by Daniel Fowle and Gamaliel Rogers from a shop next to the Court House near today’s 26 Court Street. The third magazine in the colonies (after Andrew Bradford’s American Magazine and Benjamin Franklin’s General Magazine, both published in Philadelphia beginning in February 1741), it contains reprints of essays and poetry from British publications and “intelligence from the Boston newspapers.” It only publishes four issues.
